On 28 March, solidarity came together in Ivry-sur-Seine for the second charity evening held for Gaza. A deeply moving event, marked by humanitarian commitment and hope, it brought together more than 300 people who came to support our association’s work in the field.
An evening marked by powerful testimonies
At the heart of the evening, a speech by Professor Raphaël Pitti, president of the association, recalled the humanitarian emergency in Gaza and the importance of citizen mobilisation. His speech was followed by a particularly poignant moment: a live call from our HuSoMe project manager, Fahima Al-Jabari, currently in Gaza. Through her testimony, she shared the harsh reality lived by local people, their resilience in the face of adversity, and the urgent need to act. Her call for help deeply moved the audience.
Mobilisation that bears fruit
Thanks to the generosity of participants and donors, the fundraising exceeded all our expectations. The donations collected allow us to:
- Fund four months of drinking water distribution, a vital need in the current context,
- Keep our primary care centre running, guaranteeing access to essential care for the most vulnerable,
- Step up our action against malnutrition, which particularly affects children,
- Launch new aid projects in the field, to meet the most urgent needs in the coming months.
This evening proved once again that there is strength in unity. Thank you to everyone who came, to the volunteers who gave their time, to the speakers, and to all who believe with us in a fairer, more caring world.
