“All the hospitals in the Gaza Strip are on the verge of ceasing to provide their services.”
This is not a rumour but the alert issued by Khalil Al-Daqran, spokesman for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza.
He speaks on behalf of all the health workers who fight day and night to keep children, women and men alive… in conditions we would not dare imagine.
Intensive care, neonatology, emergency departments… everything is living on borrowed time.
To save the last litres of fuel, electricity is cut off in rotation.
Corridors are overflowing. The wounded keep arriving. Resources are running out.
And yet the medical teams stay. Standing. Exhausted, but present.

And our answer is simple: we are doing everything we can. But without you, it will never be enough.
To relieve the pressure on overwhelmed hospitals, HuSoMe has set up 5 primary health centres (4 of them in partnership with UOSSM International).
Every week, these centres receive and treat hundreds of patients deprived of access to care.
We concentrate our efforts where the need is most acute:
- Receiving patients and providing medical follow-up despite the lack of resources.
- Distributing the medicines available and referring patients to other facilities.
- Offering comprehensive support to orphaned children: health, nutrition, shelter.
- Delivering drinking water every day, essential for preserving health.
- Setting up a programme to fight child malnutrition (distribution of supplements and therapeutic milk).
We would love to tell you things are calming down…
But the reality is quite different.
No pause. No respite.
The emergency keeps intensifying.
Every day, there are more patients. Needs are exploding.
