I am honoured to share my impressions of the training on the tactical use of ultrasound, organised by HuSoMe-Ukraine and the association “La Chaîne de l’Espoir”. As a trainee already experienced in tactical medicine, I was sincerely impressed by the level of preparation and the quality of the learning process.
The training proved extremely practical and directly applicable. The theoretical part, rich in up-to-date information, could immediately be put into practice in realistic simulations. Studying the FAST examination algorithms and making the right decisions from ultrasound data, under limited time and resources, was particularly useful to me.
I would like to highlight the high standard of the teaching staff: all the instructors had in-depth knowledge and operational experience, and were open to questions, discussion and comments. Each module was logically built, allowing complex notions to be absorbed gradually and with confidence.
We especially thank the organisers for creating a safe, friendly and motivating environment. In such conditions, even a complex subject is much easier to absorb and builds self-confidence. I am convinced that the knowledge and skills I gained will help me many times in real situations, both in combat zones and in civilian settings. I recommend this training to all doctors, military personnel and first responders who want to master modern diagnostic tools while improving their effectiveness and readiness for the most complex challenges.
