Anastasiia Dorosh
Emergency physician at the “Centre for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine” of the Kharkiv Regional Council
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organisers and trainers of the one-day BLS + BC training, in which I had the honour of taking part. As a doctor working in emergency medical services and regularly facing emergencies, I consider this training not just useful but vital.
The programme was very dense but well structured: the theory was combined with practice so organically that each new element was immediately consolidated in real scenarios. We covered basic life support skills (BLS), including effective CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), the use of an AED (defibrillator) and modern approaches to stopping critical bleeding (BC / Stop the Bleed).
For me, it was important not only to go over familiar algorithms, but also to update my knowledge in line with the latest international protocols. That is exactly what the course provided: a focus on the details that can save lives, clear and well-rehearsed actions under intense stress, and an individual approach for each participant.
I would like to express my special gratitude to the instructors, who were professional, attentive and energetic. Their motivation and their conviction about the importance of training each of us were palpable throughout. They did not just teach — they inspired.
The atmosphere deserves a separate mention. Despite the short duration of the course, you could feel the group’s cohesion, support and mutual respect. This considerably strengthens the effectiveness of the training.
I sincerely recommend similar training to all my colleagues — doctors, first responders, volunteers, military personnel. The skills we acquire in one day can be decisive in the most critical moments.
Thank you for your knowledge, your experience and your trust in each of us!
Kind regards, Anastasia Dorosh
