Our team of combat medics thanks the public organisation HUOME – UKRAINE for the TUSC-UA training, which was extremely useful and modern. Two days were devoted to developing key skills for rapid, real-time examinations. TUSC-UA proves particularly useful for identifying haemoperitoneum, pneumothorax, haemothorax and haemopericardium.
This is especially important when the casualty presents with:
- a blunt or penetrating injury to the abdominal or thoracic cavity;
- undifferentiated shock and/or hypotension.
It is also essential to have analysed and discussed real cases, which will help our team handle practical situations better.
The teaching method proved not only clear but also very effective. We are putting the knowledge we gained into practice from today.
