Humanitarian action to bring a little hope to the most vulnerable families
For the festival of Eid, the association HuSoMe carried out a large-scale solidarity campaign for widowed women and their children living in the camps of Gaza.
The aim of the operation was to distribute 500 festive food parcels, designed not only to meet essential needs but also to bring a moment of comfort to an extremely trying daily life.
Each parcel, worth €60, represented an overall commitment of €30,000 mobilised for this humanitarian operation.
Parcels designed to feed, but also to comfort
In a context of severe humanitarian hardship, HuSoMe wanted to go beyond standard food aid.
The parcels distributed contained in particular:
- Eid meat, a strong symbol of sharing and celebration
- Cakes and biscuits
- Colourful sweets for the children
- “Renad” oil
- And various treats to bring a little warmth and comfort
The idea is simple but essential: to bring back a moment of dignity and joy to the tents of displaced families.
Volunteers at work at the heart of Gaza’s camps
On the ground, HuSoMe’s teams and volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare and distribute these parcels in particularly trying conditions.
In the camps of Gaza, their commitment made it possible to deliver the aid directly to beneficiaries, despite a complex and unstable environment.
Their presence was essential in ensuring that the operation reached widows and orphans in the best possible conditions.
A chain of solidarity carried by collective commitment
This campaign relied on a real chain of solidarity bringing together donors, volunteers and local teams.
Each parcel handed over was the result of a collective effort, guided by a strong conviction: not to leave the most vulnerable families without support.
Through their courage and determination, the volunteers played a central role in the success of this humanitarian operation.
HuSoMe and Gaza: concrete action in an emergency
Through this operation, HuSoMe reaffirmed its commitment to populations affected by humanitarian crises, with particular attention to widowed women and their children.
Eid thus became a moment of solidarity, in which each parcel distributed was much more than food aid: a message of hope and dignity.
