On 5 July 2026, the Frigos site hosted a Palestinian cultural gathering, bringing together many visitors who came to discover the riches of Palestinian culture in a friendly, family atmosphere.
A great turnout around Palestinian culture
Throughout the day, the public came in large numbers to take part in the various activities on offer. The event celebrated Palestinian culture through moments of discovery, sharing and conviviality.
One of the highlights of the gathering was the big raffle, which brought together many participants in a warm atmosphere.
The Yalla Dabke group introduces traditional Palestinian dance
Visitors also watched the Belgian group Yalla Dabke, who gave a memorable performance before inviting young and old to try dabke, the traditional Palestinian dance.
This introduction allowed the public to discover an emblematic element of Palestinian cultural heritage in a spirit of transmission and sharing.
A friendly day for the whole family
Many activities punctuated the day to cater for all audiences.
Visitors could enjoy:
- Palestinian food specialities;
- ice creams, candyfloss and granitas;
- a cultural stand;
- a souvenir area;
- activities for children, with face painting, hook-a-duck and bouncy castles.
These activities helped create a friendly family atmosphere throughout the event.
A call for solidarity
During the gathering, Pr Raphaël Pitti gave a speech on the current situation. His address raised the audience’s awareness before he launched a call for solidarity.

This Palestinian cultural gathering brought together many visitors around the discovery of Palestinian culture, its traditions and moments of conviviality. Between activities, food, the dabke performance and family entertainment, the day was also marked by a strong message of solidarity.
