The École Privée Marie-Consolatrice (EPMC), a Catholic high school for girls in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, was founded in 1888 by the Sisters of the Congregation of Saint Elisabeth. It provides a quality education comparable to that of public high schools, with personalized support that fosters the personal and professional development of its students.
Traditional Christmas Markets
Every year, the school hosts a Christmas market organized by the students, who create and sell handmade items to raise funds for charitable causes.
These solidarity events are very successful, generating substantial donations that are given to humanitarian organizations such as SOS Villages d’Enfants (€7,525 in 2024), Pharmacists Without Borders, and the Elisabeth Foundation.
Engagement with HuSoMe
HuSoMe (Humanité Solidarité Médecine), a humanitarian medical NGO based in Metz with a presence in Luxembourg, is dedicated to emergency medical training in regions affected by conflict, such as Gaza, Ukraine, and Syria. Recently, Instagram posts have linked the organization to the EPMC Christmas market, revealing that part of the proceeds from the November 2025 edition were donated to HuSoMe. This initiative continues the philanthropic spirit of the school, although the exact amount remains confidential.
