Le Républicain Lorrain published an article on the charity concert organized by the Humanité Solidarité Médecine (HuSoMe) association, which will take place on Sunday, February 15, at the Municipal Theatre of Serémange-Erzange. The event aims to raise donations to support humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
Raphaël Pitti, a humanitarian doctor and president of the association, clarified that since 2024, HuSoMe has been present in Gaza, particularly through four primary care centers and an orphanage. In response to the situation of children abandoned in the streets, the author mentioned that the association rented a villa in central Gaza to house around thirty children. The orphanage, which can accommodate up to 40 children, is managed by a team of ten nursery assistants, four social workers, a psychiatrist, and three security officers. A tent has been set up as a study room, allowing the children to continue their schooling. The local team is entirely Palestinian, and the association oversees activities remotely through weekly reports. However, financial resources are dwindling, and Raphaël Pitti concluded that the international humanitarian situation is extremely critical. He emphasized the need to call upon the generosity of civil society to ensure the continuity of humanitarian actions.
To support this cause, a solidarity concert is organized on February 15, featuring the following program:
-
A reading of the text Ibrahim by humanist writer Marc Olénine
-
Balkan music by the Troïka group
-
A performance by Lukas Abdul
-
A musical closing by the Moussafir orchestra with Moroccan sounds
Volunteer Josiane Szura stated that Serémange-Erzange is the only city to offer the venue for free for this event. She clarified that HuSoMe’s cause is not political, but purely humanitarian, aimed at helping children and people in need.
In addition to its work in Gaza, HuSoMe is also active in Ukraine and Syria, continuing its humanitarian mission on multiple fronts.
